I have suffered from intense, chronic panic attacks and general anxiety since I was a child, and doctors have tried a wide range of medicines w/out very much success. This drug has drastically reduced the frequency and severity of my panic attacks, as well as my overall anxiety. It's not a miracle drug, as I do still have troubles, but it has made them easily manageable! I do have odd dreams, but ...

8 yrs ago I was hospitalized for alcoholism, mainly caused by my hereditary tremor, booze somehow controlled my shaking to a point, I met with the addiction psychiatrist, who prescribed proprananol for me, as far as I am concerned this drug is a miracle in my life, I no longer shake, even under the most stressful times. One other thing, about 3 months ago, for other intestinal problems, I went off this drug for 3 days, and the shaking started again, thank goodness I was able to go back on it, I can thank proprananol for letting me lead a normal life for the first time in my adult life.Read More Read Less

I started taking the med a few weeks ago. I only take 1-2 a day. Im still take xzanx but the QUACK Dr. lowered me to 1mg . The med has made me thirsty as a dog. I tend to have these crazy dramatic dreams now. I'm talking dreams you wake up wondering if you really woke up. It's great a DR cant give you the normal 2mg bars your used to because of the re-sale to people in the community. This is just a new drug to calm your heart if you get feel it exploding out of your chest. I feel odd taking a pill which side effects include with drawl if missed on the label. COULD I JUST HAVE MY BARS BACK PLEASE.Read More Read Less

Propanoloo works great on mitral valve prolapse. I have trace regurigation in mitral, tricuspid and aortic valves. I have experienced chest pains, diziness, anxiety, and palpitations. My doctor prescribed Propanolol (10 mg twice a day. It significantly diminished my symptoms What a difference in how I feel. If you suffer from the effects of MVP, ask your doctor about a beta blocker like propanolol.

I started taking this med for abdominal and retinal migraines. It has worked greatly for me not getting ill, but I still seem to have a constant dull headache. I don't know if that is because of the drug, but I am definitely satisfied.

This drug has been a life saver for me- as a migraine sufferer this medication was prescribed to reduce the amount of headaches with a minimum amount of side effects (that other preventative migraine meds can cause). Inderal 120 mg worked wonders for me I went from 5-6 migraines a month to 1 or 2 with no side effects.

I suffer from 3-5 migraines a week and have been on many drugs for prevention. I am currently taking this 2x a day and have not had any results. I've actually just experienced one of the worst migraines yet and am extremely exhausted.

The short form (2x/day) was working for me, but then it gave me blackouts followed by a horrible migraine attack that lasted 2 weeks, so my doctor put me on the long form that I take at dinner time. What a huge difference! I don't care if I have to take this the rest of my life. I was getting migraines a minimum of 3-4 times a week. Since being on this for a month now, I've had only one.

I have taken this medication since a hospitalization in july 07 for severe migraine. It had decreased the intensity and occurance of my migrains significantly. I didn't realize that this was also making me so tired until I read the other reviews. My right arm also tends to be weaker and hurt especially in the early morning but this has helped. i do have maxalt in case of a sevree migraine but haven't had to use it. When i do get a headache I take 2 excedrine migraines and it works. My daily life has improved the the decrease of migrains. I take it twice a day so i may try to see if once a day for the total strength so I can take it at night to see if it helkps with being so tired. Glad to hear its not just me. thank you.Read More Read Less

I have been taking this Medication for a lil over a month now for Migraines. Before I started on this I was having Migraines 3-4 times a week. I still get them but not as often and not as bad. It does make you really tired, I recomend not taking it in the morning if you have to drive to work. Best to be taken at night before bed. Works great so far!

I have had migraines for 20 years, 3-4wk, and tried every drug. This works the best, but doesn't eliminate all migraines. The only problems I notice are extreme tiredness, and my hands are sometimes numb. Lately I have woken up throughout the night because my right arm was asleep and hurt. Now during the day I can't grasp things with either hand. Still, it's worth it to me. I would give my right arm to not have migraines.

I also have increased thirst, but I am now drinking more water, which makes me feel much better! All in all, I am blessed to be on this, and it is very affordable- just $4 at Wal-Mart!Read More Read Less

I take this med for migraine prevention and it has been working. I was getting migraines 3-4 x's per week before it. Now I get maybe 1 migraine a month. It does make you very tired so ask you Dr. if you can take it at night. That has worked best for me. My boyfriend takes it for high blood pressure and he does the same.
