I have been taking 2 naproxen twice a day for a couple of years with very good pain relief. Cardiologist now recommends I stop or alternate with Tylenol. Two weeks in and I am miserable . 67 years old, female, retired nurse. Kidney and hepatic tests are normal. I'm going back to what works.

Each time that I've had to take it for more than one day I get heart palpitations that get worse an...

I first started taking it after meals. It upset my stomach. My doctor told me to take it at bedtime with an antacid. The stomach upset stopped, and the pain relief was tremendous.

Prescribed for pain after knee injury in auto accident. The drug delivered no more relief than OTC ibuprofen, which wasn't much. The drug also caused severe stomach upset, so I discontinued it after a few doses.

My daughter has JRA and used Naproxen and got a rash from it that looked like many scars. It has gone away somewhat since we stopped it 4 months ago.

I used this for lumbar muscle strain and took one pill after lunch. After a few hours, I am feeling tired, lethargic, and somewhat nauseaus. I think I'll go back to ibuprofen 600 mg.

I've been given this many times over the last few years and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. If I take it with a stronger pain killer then it works great (since it is also a muscle relaxer), but alone it's useless!
