I've been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, and inject myself every other week. This works great for the first week, but then it seems to start wearing off, and I start to go downhill. Other than that, I've had no side effects at all. This was a miracle drug for me - the only thing besides prednisone that helps me feel better and calms the swelling.

I unfortunately had the worst of the side effects afer only 2 injections. This included the heart palpatations, tingling, confusion and the list goes on. This was disappointing because if I hadnt had the side effects this drug took care of my arthritis. I am now on Embrel and it unfortunately is not as effective.

For the short time I have been on this drug (Since Aug 08), I have seen incredible results. I have had this miserable disease for over 22 yrs and I am finding smooth skin for the first time. I am starting to feel numbness/tingling in my hands in the last day or two...I will call my Doc tomorrow.

I find this medication hard to take because I do not do injections well. Also, it stings and burns worse than any medication/shot I have taken for RA. But, I am having good results. Physically able to do things I have not done in along time.

I've been taking Humira for psoriatic arthritis for several months now, and have recently started it once a week. It's worked wonders for my arthritis, although it did take awhile for it to start working. I also haven't noticed any side effects. And a tip for those that say it stings a lot: I take the medicine out of the fridge for about 20 minutes before using, and it barely stings during the injection. Works for me, try it the next time you use it. Thank god for Humira!

After many years of suffering from hidradenitis I have finally found something that helps with the sores and drainage. After taking Humira for just a month I noticed swelling had gone doen dramatically, less redness, and almost no drainage. Although the pen can be tricky to get used to, I have found that applying ice before injecting makes a huge difference. I HIGHLY recommend Humira for severe hidradenitis!

At first, it was managing my psoriatic arthritis moderately well at one injection every two weeks, but now it is not managing the pain very well.

I have had severe plaque psoraisis for over 30 years. For years every new dermatologist would run you through the same regiment. First coal tar, the topical steroids, mixing in a few other drugs that can make your liver look like jello (soritane). After 30 years I was 40% covered, somewhere between 6-7 weeks later, you could only make out shadows from tan lines of wear the scales had been. The only downside is the cost. It is a biologic and expensive to prodduce. My insurance covers most, but unfortuneately they will not cover the doctor that will prescribe it. If you are looking for a potenial eternal remission from this curse, it has been it for me. Call a dermatologist and ask if they will even work with it, if they will go see them, if they won't don't waste your time and money.Read More Read Less

One month after starting Humira pen, I began having severe daily headaches, migraines actually. Eight months later, I'm still miserable, even though I've reduced my injection to 1/4 the regular dose. Now I just have pain, swelling, and a new migraine med to take along with the Humira. Want to get off it but need a new doc, I guess.

Humira is wonderful. It took 5 years for a doctor to finally diagnois me & prescribe humira. I have been taking it since July 2007 & feel like I have my life back. Before my diagnosis I had to use a cane & sometimes a wheelchair to get around. Within 2 months of using the Humira I was walking on my own. Almost a year later, I can walk the zoo with my nieces & nephews, or run around chasing them.

I am 27 and I was diagnosed with Crohn's Diease at the age of 6, which is very rare. I have been on every med you can think of. And not to mention 2 pic lines in high school. But nothing keep me well enough to do much. and have had a major surgery. I have now been on Humira since July 2007 and have felt so much better. I can actully enjoy my life and not have to worry were a bathroom is. Like others have said it is easy to use but it does sting. But you do get over that. Hey if the med works and a sting is all you have to worry about it is worth it. Read More Read Less

I have been taking Humira for 3 mos and so far it has been completely ineffective. I am due to see my doctor and will ask him if I should continue the drug or try it in combination with another.

I take Humira for Ankylosing Spondylitis. I have taken it for three months and noticed little to no improvement. I did, however, notice blood in my urine.

I have psoriasis and have been extremely satisfied with the results! I am starting to clear up. It does sting, but I have noticed it is less painful when the pen sets out for 20 minutes b/4 injection. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had psoriatic arthritis and had many open sores and my feet were cripped to where I use a walker at age 35. After using Humira, I was able to walk again w/o assistance in a matter of days after the treatment. It has given me my life back.

I started Humira in November 2007 and since starting this drug, my pain and flare's have gone way down. I actually feel like me again. The pen makes the shot easy to give but the medication does sting. I am not use to it yet but I do it every 2 weeks. The only problem I had was diverticulitis which I am not sure was a direct result of the Humira. I was feeling so good that I was eating a TON of fresh veggies which was not good for my system. Overall I am happy with Humira and hope it continues to work!Read More Read Less

I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in October of 2005. I tried Pentasa and Azathioprine. Neither one worked and I ended up having surgery in October 2007. I've been on Humira since November 2007 and I can't believe how great I feel. It's taken a while to get comfortable giving the shots, but it gets easier every time. My only complaint is the cost. Perhaps more people using it will help bring that down.

awesome! I went from barely moving to walking and exercising up to 5 (FIVE) miles per day!! Unfortunately, my insurance does not cover the rx at a reasonable copay any longer!, I'm not sure what will happen now.
