I really like femcon, it has worked out really well for me! I have had less nausea, headaches & my period are shorter & lighter! If you do miss 1 pill you will start bleeding, so it reminds you very much if you forget to take them the right way.

I tried this as a cheaper alternative to the Nuvaring...it was a nightmare. THIS PILL IS AWFUL. DON'T TAKE IT. I was on it for 13 days and gained 6 pounds. 2 months later after going back to the birth control I had been on prior, that weight is still with me even after maintaining a healthy diet and exercise regimen. I had horrific migraines with this pill as well. I was excessively moody, nauseated, and had horrible cramps but no bleeding. My hair started to fall out. My skin is healthy and pimple free, amd I broke out in horrible zits and blemishes. Just say no to this pill. I have been able to use several pills, the ring and patch prior to this without issue. So my body is not horribly picky about hormones. I've never had so many bad side effects before.Read More Read Less

I've been on this birth control for 4 months and on birth control since I was 16. I've always had normal periods. This is the first pill that made me have breakthrough bleeding from forgetting to take a pill but has lightened my periods. My sex drive is up but I have headaches and nausea from time to time. I've always gained weight from birth control but it seems to be steady so far. I'm staying on this birth control for the libido and lighter periods.

It makes me feel lazy, sleepy, hungry, and pretty much, in a very bad mood, what is terrible for my every day life! I'm looking desperately for something different!

I've been taking this pill since i turned 18. Thats over 10 years now and I have not had any problems. No hair loss, no acne, very light periods, no cramping, no mood swings. I still have a great sex drive... This pill has done wonders for me and I will continue to take it.

This pill has made my face and neck break out horribly. My doctor put me on it to help clear up hormonal acne and it didnt do anything for it. I have gone to the dermatologist and they labeled it as hormonal cysts. The acne swells up and it's just gross.

I have been taking this pill for 4 months. I took it for a birth control and for acne. It cleared up my acne a great deal, no weight gain, spotting, nausea. I used to have fairly heavy and long periods but on this pill my periods are very light and last about 2 days. I have been satisfied by this pill except that I have had about 3 yeast infections in the past 4 months of taking it. I'm pretty sure it's this pill so I plan on switching to something new.

I gave this pill a 5 for effectiveness as it was very effective at what it was supposed to do, prevent pregnancy, its the side effects that are the killer. I didn't put on any weight or have changes in my skin, the problem was my lack of energy. by 10:30 every night (which was when I would take the pill) I was exhausted and could barely hold my head up. I have been off the pill for about 2 months now, and my energy is back, for this reason alone, I wouldn't try femcon.

I was on this for about a year to help with horrible periods. At first it was fine and I thought the way I felt was normal since I had no prior birth control, but about two thirds through the year it started to make me sick, depressed, my sex drive was practically gone, and all I ever wanted to do was sleep. The worst part was the my periods didnt improve and I was constantly spotting. I switched to the Ortho Evra patch and its much better.

I started taking this pill because I was previously on Lutera which caused me to have heavy acne. I've always had acne on my forehead and back, but never on my chin and neck. After I started Femcon my acne on my forehead cleared up but I started having cystic acne on my chin and neck! Not only that, my hair started thinning and falling out!!! I'm so scared. I've found out that this is due to EXCESS ANDROGEN. So now I need to find a birthcontrol pill that is low in androgens so I can save the little bit of hair I have left. I feel like crying right now. PS, I've been taking Femcon for over a year now and I always thought my hair was shedding the regular amount but it was shedding excessively. Read More Read Less

I absolutely LOVE this pill! I've been on it for about 4 years now and it was the first birth control I have tried. Of course at the beginning you get a slightly longer period but once that is done everything is fine. It made my periods lighter and less painful and I only bled for about 3 days instead of my usual 5. The only problem I do have though, is my hair started falling out a lot. I didn't see it as much of a big deal at first but now it's starting to bother me. Other than that, no problems with sex drive or moodiness, nothing. I'm thinking about switching just because of the hair loss thing but I might be able to stick it out.Read More Read Less

I have been on yazmin (before i knew of having cysts) for cramps i went off that and had found out i had an ovarian cyst. So i had to go on another bc. I went on depo provera (the shot) and that had worked but i felt it was unnatural to not have a period so i went off that and now i have been on these pills less than a week (about 5 days) and have had to stay home from school because i was throwing up from how bad my nausea was. They are riduclous i started feeling side effects the next morning after i started taking them. From then on it just keeps getting worse and i find myself waking up at 3 in the morning feeling hot and with ALOT of nausea... if this goes on for another week my doctor is switching me because id rather have a cyst!Read More Read Less

Femcon FE was the first birth control pill I tried. My doctor put me on it as a test and for the first month everything was fine. However, in months two and three I started to get bad mood swings (crying at random), painfully tender breasts, and I had absolutely no sex drive. I returned to my doctor and he didn't seem surprised at all. I choose to switch to NuvaRing and haven't had a problem since. I'll be trying a new pill in a couple of weeks, let's hope it works better with me than this disaster.Read More Read Less

I was use to using the patch, did great. Now 9 months after having my baby, my dr. started me on femcon. I hate it!!!! I have been bleeding for 11 days. My doctor's nurse says give it time. I am sick and tired of this period. I will be starting my 2nd month of pills, tomorrow, if it doesn't stop soon I will toss them in the trash.

This is my first time taking birth control, and it honestly hasn't been a good time so far. For the entire first pack I bled so heavily I ruined multiple articles of clothing, had cramps 24/7, had to pee every half hour and felt like crying all the time. I'm now ending the first week of the second pack, and I'm not bleeding, but I'm also not waking up on time- or at all. I'm always tired, and I still seem to be a little over-emotional. I'm a college student, so this has been affecting me in a not-at-all good way.Read More Read Less

This pill has been a disaster for me. I have been taking it for three months and I have been bleeding for three months! My doctor says give the pill a chance but I am so discouraged, angry and frustrated. I am switching pills after I finish my third pack I can't take it anymore I am miserable, moody and I want to cry all the time. I hope others have a more pleasant experience than I did.

I am awful at swallowing pills so i was thrilled when I heard about this drug. The first few times i took it i didnt think it was too bad. As the weeks went on however, i started feeling sick after taking it. I would literally gag after chewing the nasty little things. I'm really upset that I can't get past the nausea because other than that I LOVED it! My periods were so light and rarely lasted more than 3 days. Plus, i never had cramps. Now i'm going to try the patch and see if thats any better.Read More Read Less
