I can’t overstress the importance of lemons during the prep using this drug. Get a bag of lemons and cut them in quarters. Suck on the lemon quarter, drink the solution, suck on the lemon, drink the solution. You will not even taste or smell it. Also, schedule your exam in the afternoon. You will be able to drink 1/2 of the solution the night before and 1/2 in the morning. Very tolerable way to get through this!

Start working within 30 minutes. Gentle, very little cramping but lots of gurgling. Salty taste. Bowel was very clean.

I started drinking the fluid at 6:00 p.m., every ten minutes. I had very, very severe stomach cramps, and nothing started happening until after 10:00 p.m. Also I have had a very prolonged aftertaste, even to this day, almost 20 days after the procedure.

I'm taking this as prep for a colonoscopy tomorrow. It took about 1.25hrs before my first movement. Since then, I've been going about every half hour or so. If you're worried about the procedure for using this drug (drinking 4L of the water/medicine solution), don't be. It's really not a big deal, except that I'm a little bloated-feeling and hungry, and have very mild stomach pains - nothing more than mild indigestion. Very effective for clearing out your innards.

Dont think it work at all. I must really be compacted. Not sure weather Hard stool should continue to come out or just brown colored water???

Because my husband must take a lot of narcotic pain medication due to his medical condition, he sometimes becomes severely constipated. This is the only thing that works to help him have a bowel movement.

I was prescribed this 3 weeks after having surgery for severe constipation. I had tried laxatives, enemas, and magnesium citrate with no relief. The product pretty much did exactly what it said it would. I had watery bowels starting about an hour after I started drinking it. I couldn't drink it every 10 minutes though, I did every 30, which took about 8 hours. With just watery bowel movements though, I didn't really feel like it cleaned me like I was expecting it too.

I'm 15. For the past couple of months, I just haven't pooped. Not once on my own. I went to the doctor and we tried everything else. That's when she ordered a colonoscopy. So last weekend, she had me take three bottles of Gavilyte-G. And of course, I got every single side effect, and it made the pain worse than it ever had been. The first time I took the whole bottle, the other two I stopped about a quarter way through. However, I probably threw up three quarters of what I took. It tastes awful and just gave me bad pains. I could not drink the whole gallon. I did not have a bowel after drinking this but I did get very hungry and you can not eat while drinking this. I was taking this for severe constipation.
