I've had acid reflux/GERD since I was 12 years old, we've tried them all: Prilosec, Prevacid, Aciphex, Zantac, Nexium and one other I can't remember. Nothing worked! We had me on twice a day Prilosec because it worked the best. When my new insurance denied me twice a day prilosec, I was lost and sad so my doctor recommended I take Dexilant. This medication seemed to do no better than omeprazole 20 mg. It also made me itch all over especially my eye lids.

I have been on all the drugs for Gerd and none worked for very long. I was to have the surgery to prevent the vomiting when my nurse gave me Dexilant. It has truly saved me from so much suffering. It is the BEST! My name is BH and I live in Kansas. Now my medicare plan refuses to pay for it and so I am hoping that they will review the information and approve this medicine for me. Wonderful for GERD......only side effect is excessive gas
