The arthritis pain in my knee has almost completely been relieved which I am extremely pleased with - but the numbness in my hand & possible muscle weakness in my arms may cause me to cease taking the drug. I have been blaming these side effects on the arthritis in my neck, but sleeping has become almost impossible, which I read could also be a side effect as well. It seems that I was putting of...

Really no relief from pain. Felt very nauseous and had a tinny taste in my mouth the whole time. Quit taking over two weeks ago and while the nausea has gone away, my taste buds have not returned. Will not go back on.

Vimovo was initially prescribed and heavily endorsed by my Rheumatologist, almost like a sales pitch. After taking 500 mg twice daily for almost six months, I had my blood work done by my family dr. Discovered my kidneys have significantly reduced in function. I slowly came off over a week period and will NEVER take this medication again. I suffered stomach pain, severe constipation, and minimal relief from my osteoarthritis. I DO NOT recommend.

I was given this drug for pain that I experienced in my neck but it also works well for menstrual cramps. Once a day is all that I take. It has worked better than Advil or anything else that I've taken. Lasts all day and even my cycles are lighter - I'm assuming because there's less inflammation and aggravation down there.

My doctor prescribed this for me to help with pain I had from a previous hernia surgery. After taking for about a month, started having severe stomach pain (felt like a heart attack) and had to have an EGD. Severe stomach ulcer found after the EGD. Stopped taking Vimovo immdeiately

After three lumbar fusions in ten years' time and lots of Vicodin, Percocet, etc, my P.M. doctor decided to try me on Vimovo. I had taken naproxyn (Aleve, naprosyn, Anaprox) in the past, it worked very well to get rid of back pain, but I wound up with a stomach ulcer. This is supposed to help with that because of the added acid reducer. We'll see, but in the meantime, it's cut my opiate pain med use almost in half - and that's a good thing.

I took this medication for sciatic pain from hurting my lower back from overuse at home doing yard work. My lower back ahd become inflamed and the sciatic roots were pressured. My doctor prescribed this. I was not effective for pain, or defamation. I also had stomach aches from taking it. Last I tried it again, as it has taken my back year to recover. Thank goodness. and it was effective on minor arthritic pain, very minor in my finger joints- that hurt if I eat too much sugar. This medicine is a minor help. Still hard on my stomach. When I began taking this medication (for three weeks) I was amazed at how my severe shoulder arthritis virtually disappeared! After three weeks though, the pain was right back and it seems as if it stopped helping all together. I also noticed a loss of concentration and focus so I stopped taking the a.m. dose.

Was taking Meloxicam with moderate effectiveness for OA of the knee but Dr. was worried about side effects long-term. Switched me to Vimovo. Have had moderate to severe knee pain ever since the switch. Will need to go back to the Dr. and find another option as this product does not work for me at all.

I took this for my hip pain, as directed by my physician. On the second day, I had severe stomach pains all evening. I also broke out in a rash and hives, which went away after an hour. As of this morning, I am still having stomach cramps. I will not continue with this medication!
