I have been on Butrans for about 6 weeks now starting at 5mcg every 7days and increasing once a week up to 15mcg. I have just been increased to 30mcg to try to control my pain levels. I find it works great but wasnt quite enough for me without still having to take my breakthrough meds every 4 hrs that is the reason for the increase so here's hoping that the increase helps. the tape sticks great but it does itch by times showering doesnt affect it and its way better then having to take pills all the time I was so sick of taking pills. I am being treated for FMS and Angioedema so for me the butrans along with my other meds it works great.Read More Read Less

I have tried different pain meds. I'm allergic to morphine and trying to find something long lasting. I've been on te Butrans patch for almost 5 weeks. It helped at first but now I am having to take higher doses of percocet and I am only getting 2-3 hours of sleep at night, waking up in extreem pain again. The patch just isn't working for me. I sincerely hope other people have more luck with it than I have. I also have liver problems and have to get off the percocet. I am so tired of watching the clock and taking so many pills. I was so excited to be put on the patch, less pills!!!! I'm only one person.The patch may work great for someone else. They do stay on pretty good depending upon where you put it. I was on the 20 and they are pretty big and crinkle but i am small framed. Good luck it is worth trying.Read More Read Less
