I have been taking this drug for 3 weeks. Side effects are minimal, my psoriasis is clearing up, less pain and stiffness in my joints. After being on methotrexate, I was relieved to find that this drug actually works for me without all the side effects of the other DMARD drugs.

I have been on this medication for 3 months. I am still experiencing frequent Diarrhea, extreme Nausea, migraine headaches, hair loss, and increased joint pain, with new pain and swelling in joints previously not affected. I am staying on it 4 more weeks to give it additional time to possibly increase it's effectiveness. I am only continuing to try to deal with this daily/nonstop pain and swell...

I am so thrilled with this med! My psoriasis got much worse after menopause. My skin was paper thin from using topical steroids. After 4 months on Otezla, I can wear short sleeves and skirts again. Last summer I got clear on topicals but 3 weeks later I was covered again, having to wear long sleeves and pants all summer. The side effects were moderate for me and faded quickly. To have my skin clear again without compromising my immune system is a miracle. I am so grateful to the people at Otezla.Read More Read Less

I have been on this medication for 6 weeks and I have felt horrible! Daily headaches and nausea. My energy level is extremely low. Depressed along with my joints feel worse and plagues are the same. I can not continue to have headaches or nausea daily and try to work. It has been debilitating for me and if I were on a blind test study I would certainly know I was on a medication that was depressing me , giving me headaches-severe, nausea and general loss of all energy. I am coming off tomorrow and going back to Enbrel and hopefully the Basel cell cancers will not come back because the medication worked. I have had plaques since I was 11. I developed the arthritis in my late 20's. I have had 3 spinal fusion surgeries, my nails are affected and now my feet. I did the best on Enbrel so I hope this medication can help any of you without these side effects. Good luck we are always a hope away from a cure!Read More Read Less

I've been taking Otezla for a month and my psoriasis is much better and the arthritis slightly better. The side effects are so debilitating that I'm seriously considering stopping. Headaches every day and rash under my arm would have been tolerable but the mood change, fatigue and depression are not.

Otezla did not help arthritis until after 3 or 4 months, most side effects for me are manageable, I just don't take full dose when I go to work, The problem I am having is my mouth is irritated ,and really hurts when I eat and stays dry, I have symptoms, like canker sores and thrush very painful.

This is my 4th medication trial for my Psoriasis and Psoriatic arthritis. After one week my skin was clearing up. After a month it was 99% clear. I did experience the headaches, nausea and weight loss. The headaches and nausea went away but I continue to loss weight, which needed to come off anyway. Otezla has saved me from so much depression.

The week of discomfort from the side effects was beyond worth it for me! I am now able to use my hands and they are healing from the swelling and cracks. In just two weeks my feet, hands, ankles, and elbows have a significant amount of decrease in active psoriasis. The swelling and arthritis in my fingers and toes has also significantly reduced! Looking forward to being healed!

The side effects were not worth the benefits for me. Diarrhea, nausea, tension headache, abdominal pain, inability to focus, and fatigue. I did not take it long enough to see if the side effects would subside as I did not feel I could function on it.

I've been taking Otezla for four weeks. I've experienced 90% clearing and side effects are very mild. So far the results are amazing.

I did a review early on after starting the med. I think I have been on it now for about 3 months. I am pleased with my skin clearing. I can barely see the psoriasis. I have not really noticed any alleviation of joint pain. In fact, I have joint pain now in joints that weren't hurting before. The nausea and upset stomach subsided after about 4 weeks. However, my hair began to fall out and it is very concerning to me, the doctor stated that hair loss is not a side effect. Folliculitis is a side effect though and if you look it up it can lead to hair loss that my be permanent. So I am pretty positive that the hair loss is from the medication. I also have a lot of headaches, fatigued, moody, "foggy" and depressed. I am considering stopping it but I know my skin will instantly become red inflamed and painful...ugh!Read More Read Less

I started this medication 09/17/2015 as prescribed by my dermatologist for being diagnosed with moderate to severe Psoriatic Arthritis over 85% of my body (from scalp to feet) for the past 3 1/2 years. Within 2 weeks of taking Otzela my condition improved. Now it is 10/26/2015 and nearly all of the psoriasis is resolved and my arthritis has improved dramatically. There were side effects of headache and nausea but those subsided within 2 weeks of taking Otzela. I would recommend this product to everyone to at least give it a try. I have tried everything from topical creams, medication, and injections and nothing worked except for Otzela.Read More Read Less

Upon being diagnoise with PA my Dr prescribed other meds that did nothing to relieve my PA symtoms plus gave me horrible side effects. My dermatologists recommeded Otezla and after 4 months I'm feeling much better and no side effects. The arthrits has caused damaged to areas that my dr says can never be repaired. I have had cortisone injections in those areas for pain which has helped. Taking Ozelza has helped with fatigue and joint pain with out horrible side effects. My drs want me to stay away from biologics since I have a family history of lymphoma. Otezla is the best choice I have and it seems to be working fairly well.Read More Read Less

I had severe plaque psoriasis. I have taken Otezla since December 2014. 30mg twice a day. I have totally cleared! In the beginning I had headache, diarrea but it stopped after a few weeks. This is a miracle for me. I am 67 years old and have tried numerous treatments in the past. Give it a try at least. It took about 3 months before I saw improvement. They talk about depression as a side effect. Well, I was depressed because of the psoriasis in the first place... so I dont feel any additional depression!! First time in years I can show my arms and legs!!Read More Read Less

I have been taking Otezla for over 2 months. Stopped shortly for awhile about 1 month in because of confusion with infection and other biologic drugs like Humira and Enbrel. As some have said, I feel worse pertaining to joint pain and swelling. However, I have noticed a slight improvement in psoriasis. Common side effects are lingering but not as worse. Fatigue and depression have increased dramatically.

I previously reviewed the drug and while I was pleased with results I was seeing, the side effects were awful. I am happy to report that I have been on the med for about a month now and the side effects are subsiding.
