I worked as a geriatric nursing asst., working many double shifts, doing a lot of heavy lifting, on my feet for 18-20 hrs. at a time. Suffered from knee and shoulder pain due to osteoarthritis; also, heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, and bunions. LOTS of pain, daily. I was eating OTC ibuprofen like it was candy, with little to no relief. Mobic has been a Godsend! I now function with minimal disc...

I started 2 months ago and have noticed improvement. I have had some side effects, I can tolerate the tiredness, stiff neck for the relief I get from it. I am on a water pill as well so this might be part of the problem of urgent bladder suddenly appearing. Thirsty a lot as well.

Whilst the taking of any pain relief medication is not perfect, Mobic offers me the best compromise. Mobic helps me to keep relatively mobile. I take it for several days at a time when my OA RA and Polymyalgia are really interfering with me being active. I am 65 years young and have other issues that need to be considered when choosing to take any pain relief. Cheers

I was prescribed Mobic (7.5 mg) for my laser procedure for varicose veins. On the positive side, I was more flexible than normal and felt absolutely no pain anywhere. However, I felt dizzy and tired for a little after taking it and after a few days had bad canker sores in my mouth. I took it for about a week (once/day) and after stopping I noticed my joints were "clicking" and I started having rotator cuff issues in my shoulder and pain in both hips. Not sure if it was from taking and quitting Mobic but I run and lift weights so this is very frustrating. Read More Read Less

When Aleve and Ibuprofen stopped helping, this medication instead helped like they did in the beginning. I do appreciate only taking one pill per day. This medication alone is not enough to manage my RA pain and inflammation.

This medication has been a lifesaver for me. I have had to go off of it for different medical procedures and I could not get back on it fast enough. The pain in my hands, wrist, knee, neck, ankle and feet would come back right away when I went off of this med. I am so thankful to have it and have no side effects.

I take 15mg once a day in the am along with 40mg of oxycontin 3 times a day. The addition of monic has helped a lot in place of percocet for breakthrough pain.

I was prescribed this after an ankle injury and, had Mobic not made me incredibly sick to my stomach, I'd have thought it was a placebo. It did absolutely nothing, but make me throw up and feel miserable. I took Aleve this morning which kind of helped a little bit... maybe, which is more than I can say for Mobic, and did not annoy my stomach.

I am a very active 58 year old female in excellent health except for terrible continuous sometimes debilitating pain, stiffness, and inflammation in my hands, elbows, low back, hips and knees. I began a regimen of Mobic 7.5 mg once daily. I've been taking it for only a month. I am so pleased with with this drug. I am virtually pain free. Morning stiffness was so severe that I couldn't even bend let alone squat down to pick up anything. Now I have no morning stiffness. This drug has given me my life back. I've had no adverse affect from it so far other than some minor gas and stomach discomfort on 2 occasions. I hope I never have to stop taking this drug.Read More Read Less

I have used Mobic 7.5 mg in the morning and 7.5 mg at nite. I have been using Mobic for 12 years and have more than been satisfied without any problems. Now my doctor wants me to go off the Mobic and use Tylenol instead, becaue it may effect my liver. It has not affected my liver to date. I am 80 years old. I just want to live my daily life without pain in my fingers.

I am writing this for my hubby who is going blind from his diabetes, has severe chronic pain, fusions in his neck and back, and head to toe arthritis. He has been on Mobic twice (the 1st time he ended up with the same symptoms as this time, but was having gallbladder issues, and had a gall stone at that time too), so we didn't even consider the Mobic contributing to the severity of his symptoms. Before his Gallbladder surgery, his doc took him off the Mobic, and he remained off it until about a week ago. In the short time he's been back on it, he has had little to no pain relief from Mobic, but the side effects have been horrible. It has caused him to have severe heartburn, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, bloating, terrible constant foul smelling belching, severe gas, headaches, and irritability. He has decided to not take another dose of this med because of the massive side effects he has experienced since restarting it, and will inform his doctor in the morning. (The only other med that has caused him similar symptoms was Victoza). We were really hoping he could take it because he certainly needs some pain relief, but since the side effects defiantly outweigh the benefits, he'll not get a chance to see if it would have helped his pain.
