I take Arthrotec 75mg...1tab twice a day. I have Osteoarthrites and Fibromyalgia. I have taken this drug for years and it helps me a lot. I thought at one point either it was not helping or my condition had gotten worse. I was off of it for a few days and could not hardly walk. I hurt all over. Then when I started back taking it the symtoms went away. I do still have some pain but nothing like it ...
I was prescribed this medication by an arthritis specialist for my knee last fall. I tried to take it like prescribed but it made me violently sick to my stomach no matter how many different ways I tried to take it, before eating, after eating, during a meal. Every time it ended with me being incredibly queasy, vomiting or with horrible stomach cramps and feeling like I had sever food poisoning. T...

Went to every type of physician for my body and joint pain. My RH has been negative for years. I had tried every prescription strength, non-sterriodal oral pain killer on the market. Every morning I would be so stiff all over I would cry in pain. Then this physcian put on Arthrotec, I have been painfree for almost 6 years now. There is generic available brandname is "Cytopan" same generic ingredients. If I miss a dose I know it pretty quickly. So far so good. I had to consult a Rhumatologist for review in Canada he and several others say I don't have arthritis and should get off this medication and methotrexate that I have been taking for the last 6 years. I don't know what to do. Read More Read Less

Have been taking this medication for 2-3 months. Can't say it's been very helpful and I have had extreme diahrrea for too long. I can only attribute it to this medication. Found out it amplifies certain medications and natural remedies, like magnesium and one of my hbp medicines and my doctor did not tell me. It's very expensive but I am probably not going to take it for a few days and see if the stomach issues clear up.

I have been taking this medication now for about a month. Results are good. I have not experienced any of the side effects that most have spoken here about. However I have noticed muscle weakness in the last few days. I am wondering if anyone else is experincing this or if it is a result of something differnt> I am going to stop taking it to see if it makes a differnce.

after reading other reviews, this drug apparently is useful to people with other than arthritic inflammation. Reviews from people with arthritic conditions show the same GI discomfort and diarrhea, and drowsiness,as I have experienced after two doses. I am going natural with Bromalain

I have been using Arthrotec 75 for 12 years and love it. I had been on a different NSAID for 10 years previous and had developed lesions in my stomach. After surgery to correct the problem I was prescribed Arthrotec 75. I have been advised to go off the drug a couple of times right before surgery and my OA came back and I was almost immobile. I have been very satisfied with this drug and it's effectiveness.
