I suffer for over two years with chronic pain. None of the pain pills prescribe seem to make the pain bearable. I was refer to pain management. That was the best thing my doctors did. I explain the severe pain I was in. Felt as though, I refer to it as my little man who had my entire body in a vise from head to toe and squeezing my whole body with unbelievable force to the point of me staying in b...
My wife was a user of the Fentanyl patch for over ten years. It may have been effective in easing her pain but it also was the leading cause of her death. PLEASE, PLEASE, for your family, and yourself, check out the side effects of using this drug. If you experience ANY of the effects of this drug like, dizziness, fainting, nausea or hallucinations, let someone know right away, it may save your li...

only 1 brand sticks to my skin- Sandoz. I bought a velcro wristband to hold it on if it does get loose, and I stick it to my wrist. I've tried all other long acting pain relievers and this worked the best by far, in combination with the short acting pain meds. I have found the gel ones work better than "dry" patches. I've got lupus and fibromyalgia, so nothing completely gets rid of the pain, but it helps. I don't know if a fentanyl manufacturer has a program for people on Medicare Part D, but if you can no longer afford to buy it, I'd check into that. My mother gets her 200.00 RX for 25.00/ mo from the manufacturer because she used up her part D benefit.Read More Read Less

I have been extremely sick with side effects: nasaeu, constipaton, headaches, pain, patch not sticking, caused a heart attack with this medicine. Dr did not believe I could have all these symptoms and felt I just wanted my former drugs back. My doctor continues to insist that i remain on this medicine. My family doctor does not wish to interfere because he fears a lawsuit against the Dr in question. My dilemma now is trying to find a Dr to write a prescription to replace this medicine and get me off of it and take care of my treatment. I phoned Dr 5 times in two days in extreme distress and was told not to call again. Ended up in hospital ER with heartattack from medicine. horribile side effects.Read More Read Less

I have just recently been using the Fentanyl TD Patch, and it actually works great. It's easy to use because I can put it on,and forget about the patch for a few days.Instead of being on a daily schedule to take numerous narcotic pain medications that didn't have much effect on me for my spinal conditions that have disable me,and puts me through immense pain. This is the first thing i've been on that has actually helped me with my pain management programs I go through to manage the non stop chronic moderately severe pain I have every day of my life.If it wasn't for this patch i wouldn't be able to function properly to do daily things like cooking meals, bathing, cleaning my house,or even checking the mail without being in intense pain.Read More Read Less

I have been using the patches for 4 months, at first I felt relief but now I don't feel so at ease. My pain has returned and extreme tiredness. I have severe spinal osteoporosis. Surgery has left me in chronic pain due to spinal nerve damage. I use 75mg patch every 3 days. I will review with my GP with a view to increase the dose

I suffer from degenerative disk disease. Had gastric bypass surgery and ingested long-acting pain medication doesn't work because of my changed digestion process. This is only thing that's worked for me. Getting out of bed in the morning was very difficult before I started using the patches. Nausea was a problem, but is effectively controlled by anti-nausea medication.

It has decreased my pain level from an 8 to a 4, especially in the morning. It has sometimes caused nausea but can be controlled. It appears to be very effective but I have only been taking it for two weeks.
