I have my days still, but Lexapro has given me the ability to function normally so I can get along with my daily routine. The only complaint I have is that my short-term memory has not been quite as sharp since I have been on it and I know others who take it who also have the same effect.

Lexapro did the job in relieving my anxiety attacks and the accompanying depression. I have been on the medication for more than a year now. I found some of the side effects discomforting, such as weight gain and the electric shock syndrome. That being said, the positive effects of the drug far outweigh the side effects. I am able to function and my life is back to "normal" for me!

I have been taking this drug for OCD, and I have found it to be so helpful, even at a low dose of 10 mg per day. I only had some side effects the first two weeks, and after that, nothing has happened. I feel that this drug is one of the best ones out there (I have also tried Paxil and Zoloft).

Was on Lexapro prior to my 3rd pregnancy. Had to stop for that reason and switch to Zoloft for the gestational period. Zoloft didn't control my depression/anxiety. Following breastfeeding, psych tried me on Cymbalta which worked the first month but then made me feel suicidal (of which I have NEVER been suicidal in my life). Then, because of no insurance, psych tried Celexa trying to get a "lexapro" dose out of it. I finally gave up and demanded Lexapro back again.
