I have taken only 2 doses, and can't believe the difference. My head is clear, and the constant sinus ache is gone. But I can't sleep. I'll skip today's afternoon dose, and start again tomorrow morning to see if it makes a difference with my sleeping.

Allegra D usually clears up my congestion, except when I have very severe sinus infections. It works great and I have never experienced any side effects. I use the 24 hour version. I only take it as needed.

Works well, but the "pill" passes through me intact, just little less shiny. Is this a problem?

I took Allegra D (12) hour, it worked great. Bought Allegra D (24) on accident side effects:Wasn't as effective, insomnia every night; it's 2:52 am right now, constipation; had to load up on tons of water to expel after 3 days. Anxiety; I keep saying baby i don't feel right. Headaches, inability to focus, irritability, moodiness, tummy pain, And, last night I was laying in bed opened my eyes and saw a spirit in my room, hovering beside my bed, it jumped on top of me. Terrified, I could feel it all over me wrestling, pulling and tugging me. I believe in God, so I screamed JEHOVAH HELP ME!!! (In my mind) I tried to scream aloud but no sound would come out! God was watching over me, and God woke me up!!! I awoke and was not even scared just relieved it was a nightmare. All of that brought me here to see the side effects.Read More Read Less

I give a 1 star because they don't give me the choice to give a zero. I bought a 30 pill box and it doesn't work.

I felt the effects immediately within an hr of taken this medication. I had a really bad sinus infection that the medicine my doctor prescribe wasn’t helping. As great as this product has been I have notice a bit drowsy and also hard time falling asleep at night.

I had an adverse reaction to this OTC medication. I had taken the proper dose of Allegra D for a couple of days, when serious symptoms started on the third day. I had shortness of breath, and felt completely exhausted. I called my doctor and was told to go to the ER, which I did. After the usual tests to rule out a heart attack, and waiting several hours to be seen by a physician, I got the all-clear to go home. BUT the next day it happened again. The only thing that I'd done differently recently was taking the Allegra D. I had taken it an hour before the heart-attack symptoms occurred the second time. I went online to research side effects, and my symptoms were there but was qualified with a "very rarely." More looking found many others who had experienced the same scary side effects as I had. I discontinued the drug, and talked to my doctor about it, who said it was "very difficult to prove a drug is responsible for an adverse reaction." So I was left with that and a $1000 ER bill. A notable fact: There was no insert in the Allegra package at all, it was empty. I had to look it up to find the list of possible side-effects.Read More Read Less

I usually take Zyrtec D but found it to be becoming less effective. Claritin absolutely does nothing, so I gave Allegra D a shot. The fexofenadine was as ineffective as Claritin; of course the pseudophedrine helped. I wound up having to take Benadryl just to get the sneezing and runny nose to stop. I also have a rash on my arms after taking this. Now I am stuck with a $30 box of medication that is worthless to me. It's kind of frustrating as this as been a horrible year for my allergies. I am truly so glad for those of you it is effective for Read More Read Less

This drug is a nightmare! I have taken Allegra with no problems and I decided to give Allegra D a try. I have literally experienced every side effect. Loss of appetite, dry throat and mouth, and worst of all, SEVERE heart palpatations to the point where I have been up wide awake for two nights now. I can't wait for this stuff to get out of my system.

I couldn't breathe at all through my nose and was prescribed steroids and antibiotics for at least two years leading to tons of side effects. Now I am clear of steroids and antibiotics. I still have a sinus infection but at least I can breathe. This is the only thing that was effective enough to help. Everything else didn't even phase my symptoms. Allegra D 24 hour is amazing.

I started taking Allegra-D 24 hour about four days ago. I take it at about 4 P.M. and am good to go for the rest of the day and night. By morning, however, I am still woken up to pretty severe allergy attacks; therefore, I am still having to use my other allergy medications that are needed every four hours (for me, I need one of those every hour or two) which is what I'm trying to get away from.
