Of course, medications react different on all people. The 1st time I took it (4mg tablet), I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and passed out. I yelled out for my husband as soon as I felt the blood draining from my head. We called the Doctor the next morning and he said, “this is not the type of med you take to function, including walking”,:-), at least not in the beginnin...

Terrible nightmares! I had a bad experience with this drug. It seems like a psych med rather than a muscle pain med. I had severe anxiety that came suddenly after taking this crap and it is useless for muscle spasms. I used Soma for over 7 yrs with no problem, no addiction, no adverse side effects, no dependency other than I took it because it WORKED. Take it from me, this Tizanidine puts u in a T...

I have had bilateral leg pain for over 10 years with no diagnosis. I had been taking pain medication but then my physician prescribed this medication to me. I prefer to take it before bed as it can cause me to become sleepy, but when it kicks in, I can no longer feel any pain in my legs. It has been amazing.

I have an oral facial jaw disorder, With TMJ. I haven't been on it long but so far it's working. After reading the side affects, I'm worried about it being addictive. I will be talking with my Doctor about this.

THE LABEL ON THIS MED. SAID "MAY CAUSE SEDATION", SO I TAKE IT WHEN GOING TO HAVE A NAP, AND AT BEDTIME. HOWEVER, I HAVE TAKEN A 4 MG TAB DURING THE DAY, KEPT MOVING AND IT DID NOT CAUSE SLEEP. THANKS, MANUFACTURERS FOR MAKING THIS DRUG AVAILABLE, AND THANKS TO MY DOCTOR AND HER P.A. FOR PRESCRIBING IT WITH THE APPROPRIATE LABEL!

Took a 4mg tab. Within 25 minutes I was extremely sleepy. At the one hour mark I felt like I was unable to get up and walk around safely. Forget about trying to drive. I need a non-drowsy type of medication for my back spasms as I'm way to busy to be knocked down by this particular medicine. I will not be taking anymore of it.

This is some bad stuff. When I take this my blood pressure bottoms out and I go completely out for hours. My husband hides it from Me but my scoliosis is so bad I have to have something. I am afraid that I will take this and never . Wake up .It also causes kidneys no to work, dry mouth, and bad dreams.

The first time I took the med, within 4 or five hours my B/P went very low and I could hardly stay awake. The Dr. told me to go to 1/2 a pill for a week then go back to a full (4MG) dose. Dry Mouth wakes me up several times a night and I can't tell it is doing any good for my shoulder and arm pain. I am not sure it is the right stuff for my problem and will be discussing with the Dr. very soon.

I had taken cyclobenzaprine for several years with no problems, however my insurance stopped paying for it, so was prescribed this med. The first day, my blood pressure tanked and I passed out and hit my head. I decided to keep trying it (pain in my back is severe) and I ended up with hearing voices, talking to myself, continued to pass out on occasion and seeing things that weren't there! Scared me half to death. Have stopped taking it.

This was prescribed along with pain meds for my latest round of fibromyalgia. Not only do I get a dry mouth but my blood pressure dropped so low that I had non-epileptic seizures. I have been dizzy and very low blood pressure since starting it. Although I am on other medications as well, I believe I have now isolated this one to be the cause of the low blood pressure and dizziness. I will be eliminating it unless at bedtime.

I have had no help from this medicine. I have been reduced to 2 soma a day, so I use it at night for my leg spasms and with a pain med it helps. But this drug we are talking about is like taking a placebo.

Continuous pain after recent facet injection. Was on SOMA for years taking 3-4 times daily with Hydrocodone. No problem working or driving, but no real relief. Pain mgmt doc suggest I switch to Tizanidine. Made mistake of taking it like I did with SOMA. Very drunk like state had to lay down until it wore off. Have altered times of taking over the last week but do not feel right about driving. Needless to say I've not been able to drive the 30 miles to work so working from home which can not last long. The dreams have been very vivid and extremely strange. No nightmares but it would surprise me if I'm on this much longer they may begin. Waiting for procedure to deaden nerve endings. Can't come soon enough. Still have very painful spasms with slight turning or going down stairs. Will keep you all in my prayers for recovery and coping with this. Peace Read More Read Less

A pain specialist treating me for back spasms, chronic pain, fibromyalgia put me on Tizanidine to help with the spasms. The med works wonders on my back. The morphine and Lyrica did nothing for the back spasms. Thanks doc!

I noticed if taken on an empty stomach there would sometimes be hallucinations. I realized the images weren't real but still they were there. The big issue of concern and what prompted me to stop taking this was when my son noticed I would stop breathing when sleeping, like apnea, but occurring only when taking this medication.

My doctor gave me this drug today when I went in complaining of back pain from arthritis, degenerative disc disease, herniated disc and arachnoid cysts. I guess he thought maybe I can't tell where the pain is coming from and it's actually a tight muscle? So needless to say, it didn't touch the pain and I'm having a very difficult time standing. When I stand I feel very weak and flu like. I start sweating and I'm having a difficult time taking deep breaths. I just can't wait until it's out of my system and I'm not going to take it again.
